Development.
Things that I feel are useful for developers to know-of or about or to have
quick access to.
Version Control.
- Think Like (a) Git: One of the
clearest introductions to using git on the web and the one I always point
people to first.
The World Wide Web.
Web-comics.
Things that appeal to my sense of humour or aesthetics.
- xkcd: A classic webcomic beloved by many.
- Saturday Morning Breakfast
Cereal: A series of surreal comics where the unlikely or impossible is
always taken seriously and usually to twisted conclusions. Often makes me
chuckle.
- Girl Genius: A well drawn
comic in set in a world of pulpy, steam-punk adventure and mad-science. The fun
and slightly silly mood and aesthetic of the genre are always spot-on in this
comic.
- Kill Six Billion Demons: A
beautifully illustrated comic featuring an expansive story in a dangerous,
darkly beautiful and often violent setting.
- Foxes in Love: A very sweet
set of unrelated, slice-of-life comics featuring a two people who happen to be
foxes and who are in love. In the creator’s words: “A comic of two foxes, one
of whom is blue, the other is green.”
- Order of the Stick:
A long running adventure featuring jokes and lampshade hanging relating to
table-top games in general and D&D in particular.
